Facing some scary stuff lately, and I don't mind saying it's bothering me. My leg has been hurting the last week, but two nights ago, I hurt it severely in the middle of night when turning over. Went to the Dr. today and he confirmed what I suspected, that I had sciatica, but said that I may need an MRI because a disc in my spine might be bulging. Could require surgery, and I don't want that.
This is happening right at a time when I'm doing things I haven't been able to do since before my weight loss. Exercising and karate, eBay store (which requires a lot of sitting and typing), and wanting to clean up/clean out my house once and for all since I moved almost 10 months ago! It's probably because of the karate that this problem has become acute with my back and leg. I'm just going to tell the sensei that I cannot do karate right now, but that I'd like to go back at a later time. Maybe I need to drop some more weight, and that will help. I don't want to think that I'll never be able to do strenuous exercise ever again! I think another factor is that I stopped taking the Osteo Bi-Flex which cushions my joints. Started taking that again yesterday.
I think if I work I can get back up to how good I was feeling a few months back, really before Christmas....emotionally and physically.
I've go to tie a knot on my rope and hold on til this gets better!
